Terms and Conditions
The terms that apply when you create scouts, receive alerts, and use Annoteer.
Last updated: June 22, 2026
Agreement
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Annoteer, including the website, AI scout creation tools, monitoring workflows, alerts, APIs, and related services.
By using Annoteer, you agree to these terms. If you use Annoteer on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and references to you include that organization.
The Service
Annoteer lets you configure AI scouts that search for information, monitor changes, summarize findings, and notify you when relevant results are detected.
Scout results may depend on third-party websites, AI models, search providers, network availability, and the wording of your instructions. Results may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable.
Accounts
You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
You must provide accurate account information and promptly update it when necessary. You may not share accounts in a way that avoids usage limits, security controls, or billing obligations.
Acceptable Use
You may not use Annoteer to violate law, infringe rights, bypass access controls, evade technical restrictions, monitor or scrape systems in ways prohibited by applicable law or third-party terms, send spam, distribute malware, harass people, or create unsafe or deceptive content.
You may not interfere with Annoteer, probe or attack its infrastructure, reverse engineer non-public parts of the service, overload third-party services, or use automated access except through features and APIs we provide.
Unauthorised Access by Restricted Parties
Unless Annoteer gives express prior written permission signed by an authorised representative, AMAZON UK SERVICES LTD. and any parent, subsidiary, affiliate, employee, contractor, agent, representative, or service provider acting on its behalf or at its direction is prohibited from accessing, registering for, purchasing, testing, evaluating, crawling, scraping, benchmarking, monitoring, reverse engineering, or otherwise using Annoteer or any related service, website, API, software, documentation, content, output, or account.
Any access or use in breach of this section is unauthorised and constitutes a material breach of these terms. Annoteer may immediately suspend or terminate access, block accounts or network access, retain relevant records in accordance with applicable law, refuse refunds, cancel subscriptions, and pursue all available legal and equitable remedies, including injunctive relief, recovery of investigation and enforcement costs, and reasonable legal fees.
In addition to any other remedies, each unauthorised user, seat, account, credential, automated agent, or other access point associated with a restricted party will be deemed to have purchased a non-refundable enterprise seat at USD $500 per month, billed monthly in advance, for each month or partial month of unauthorised access or use. These amounts are immediately due and payable, are not refundable or creditable, and are intended as a reasonable estimate of administrative, technical, commercial, and opportunity costs arising from unauthorised access, not as an exclusive remedy.
Nothing in this section requires Annoteer to provide service to a restricted party, creates any licence or permission, or limits Annoteer's right to refuse, revoke, or condition access for any reason.
Your Content
You retain ownership of prompts, scout instructions, files, preferences, and other content you submit to Annoteer.
You grant Annoteer the rights needed to host, process, transmit, display, and transform your content so we can provide the service, run scouts, generate outputs, send alerts, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
You are responsible for ensuring that your content and use of scout results comply with applicable law, third-party terms, and the rights of others.
Outputs And Third-Party Content
AI-generated summaries, extracted data, alerts, and recommendations are provided for convenience and should be reviewed before you rely on them.
Scout results may include or link to third-party content. Annoteer does not control third-party websites, datasets, policies, or availability, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
Billing And Credits
Paid features, subscriptions, usage credits, or usage-based charges are billed according to the pricing and checkout terms shown when you purchase or use those features.
Unless a checkout flow or written agreement says otherwise, fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You are responsible for taxes and charges associated with your use of paid features.
Availability And Changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of Annoteer at any time, including features, limits, integrations, models, or pricing.
We work to keep Annoteer reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that every scout will find every relevant result.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use Annoteer.
By using Annoteer, you acknowledge that information will be processed as described in the Privacy Policy and as needed to provide the service.
Termination
You may stop using Annoteer at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create risk for Annoteer or others, fail to pay amounts due, or use the service in a way that may cause harm.
After termination, provisions that by their nature should survive will continue to apply, including payment obligations, ownership terms, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute-related provisions.
Disclaimers
Annoteer is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and availability.
You are responsible for evaluating whether Annoteer and scout outputs are appropriate for your intended use, including any decisions involving safety, legal, financial, medical, employment, or other high-impact matters.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Annoteer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Annoteer's aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amounts you paid to Annoteer for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Changes To These Terms
We may update these terms as Annoteer changes. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as posting updated terms or providing in-product notice.
Your continued use of Annoteer after updated terms take effect means you accept the updated terms.
